Petaluma Health Care District

About
Petaluma Health Care District

PHCD seeks to improve the health and well-being of our community through leadership, advocacy, support, partnerships and education.

PHCD envisions a Petaluma in which all residents have access to local comprehensive health and wellness services. We strive to create a community where health is considered in all policy decisions and financial investments, and partnerships are developed to leverage resources, align strategies, and improve health outcomes.

In addition to partnering with and supporting community organizations and local health leaders, PHCD provides a variety of programs and services, including:

The Petaluma East-Side Farmers Market: Every Tuesday from 10:00 am – 1:30 pm, the East-Side Farmers Market offers delicious locally-produced fruits, vegetables, and other bounty. We’re open year-round, rain or shine, at Lucchesi Park 320 N. McDowell Boulevard. For more information on this and other Farmers Markets, please visit: http://communityfarmersmarkets.com/

HeartSafe Community Program: In collaboration with local police and fire stations, EMS, the Petaluma Valley Hospital and the American Heart Association, PHCD launched HeartSafe in 2013. HeartSafe provides CPR and AED (heart defibrillation) training, installs AEDs in throughout our community, and provides ongoing education and AED maintenance support. HeartSafe is managed by HEALTHQUEST, a service of the Petaluma Health Care District. To learn more about CPR classes or HeartSafe Community, please visit: http://phcd.org/intro/

Lifeline of the North Bay: Lifeline is a Personal Emergency Response Service (PERS) provided by PHCD and avialble to seniors and others individuals throughout Southern Sonoma County. Lifeline is a pendant-style Help Button that can automatically call for help if a fall is detected and the wearer is unable to press their button because they are immobilized, disoriented or unconscious.
